Fall

The goal of our fall program is to develop skills so players can ultimately play to the best of their ability.

We focus on developing skills, building positive attitudes, and creating a passion for the game. Additionally, players ages 11 and older will play formal games led by the trainers.

Sportsmanship and respect for other players and coaches are staples of the Grand Island Soccer Club experience. We welcome players of all ability levels.

Volunteers are needed to assist our professional trainers with player organization and logistics during sessions. If you are interested volunteering for our fall program, please indicate that during the registration process and send us a brief email about your interest.

Ages 5–6:

All players play the entire session and benefit from more touches on the ball. There are no formal teams. Players rotate through drills and several small-sided games with the help of trainers and volunteers.

This program offers an ideal blend of fun and activities so players can learn the fundamentals of the game.

Ages 7–10:

Early sessions will focus on skills-based training, including ball touch and foot skills, with small-sided games. Later sessions will focus on small-sided games with some foot skills activities.

Players rotate through several small-sided games with the help of trainers and volunteers. There are no formal teams. All players play the entire session.

Ages 11–16:

The first 10 minutes of every session begins with a warm-up – then players transition into a full game led by the trainers.

Games are played on larger fields, with larger nets, and with more players on the field.
