Scholarships & Awards
John A. Koller & Richard E. Jones Memorial Scholarship
Each year Grand Island Soccer Club Board of Directors solicits applications from high school seniors and votes on up to four scholarship recipients of up to $600 each.
Qualified candidates are those who have served across many different roles as club volunteers, program facilitators, coaches, and referees for Grand Island Soccer Club.
Applications are available as part of the Grand Island High School scholarship packets in the spring of each school year. Recipients are announced at graduation.

Awards
Volunteer of the Year was established to honor individuals who have gone above and beyond to support of Grand Island Soccer Club. Recipients have given countless hours toward the betterment of the club either in board participation, fundraising, giving clinics, being an age group coordinator, representing the club in local, regional or state meetings, or other assistance.

Coach of the Year was established to honor individuals who over the course of the year, including all seasons, displayed high qualities of coaching excellence. In their involvement with their team(s) these coaches exemplified high character, commitment, and dedication, while developing their team(s) to the maximum level of their collective talents.

Legacy Honoree Award was established to honor individuals who have gone above and beyond in their support of Grand Island Soccer Club over the course of many years. The Legacy Honoree Award is considered the most prestigious of our honors. Nominees shall have a minimum of 10 years of involvement with the club. Through their work with soccer on Grand Island, these individuals have left an ever-lasting impact. They have given countless hours toward the betterment of the club either in coaching, board participation, fundraising, giving clinics, being an age group coordinator, representing the club in local, regional or state meetings, or other assistance.
